Confused:
"So what on earth is a Keepership?"
Tsarina S: "Anything you want it to be! Choose something you like ~ in relation to Alexei of course ~ then claim
keepership of it on 'Baby Board' and ta da!: you have yourself a spanking new Keepership! (or K'Ship for short)"
Awestruck: "Really? That easy? Fantastic, but what exactly do I do with it then?"
Tsarina S: "Well, you keep an extra special eye on it, shower it with tender loving care vibes and gloat whenever
its looking good!"
Unsure: "Anyone can have them?"
Tsarina S: "It helps if you're an Alexei fan, LOL, but yes, anyone can become an AKY Keeper!"
Excited: "And I can choose absolutely anything!"
Tsarina S: "Yep, as long as no one else has claimed it before you."
Curious: "What happens if I do?"
Tsarina S: "You'll find out! Very quickly! All our Keepers have their ways of defending their K'Ships and they
do so very faithfully...some might say ferociously!"
Sceptical: "How's that?"
Tsarina S: "Some of them bite!!"
Disturbed: "Eeek!!!"
Tsarina S: "...but most will politely point out that the Keepership in question is 'MINE, MINE, MINE'."
Rational: "Erm...don't take offence, but don't you lot take this a little too seriously?"
Tsarina S: "Ohh...you underestimate the power of Alexei Fever at your own peril! But really, we are a very friendly
group and serious skating fans ~ able to conscientiously discuss technique, the intricacies of artistic expression and appreciate
the necessity of good costume design from an 'athletic' point of view! Some of us can even calculate complicated quad equations
(!?!) and I think all of us can recognise what constitutes fine edgework!"
Amused: "I'm sure you can! So you're telling me that this Keeperships 'thing' is a by-product of serious skating discussion??"
Tsarina S: "Go read 'In The Beginning' if you want to see for yourself. Keeperships were born of serious debate.
I know our 'custom' of claiming keeperships may seem like a 'midnight-fantasy'-induced frenzy, but as carin', sharin' Alexei
fans, it is a fun-filled way of expressing our appreciation of Alexei and his skating career!"
