   We were on low backs on landings and then you go into Elvis's shelf butt! Talk about thread drift!
   Alexei seemed to be more tired at Worlds than usual, but more often than not he breaks at the waist sometimes because of the power of his jumps. It forces him down more than other skaters, I think. (Peter likes to comment on how strong his lower back must be to hold his body up on the landing!) I think a low back is fine as long as the head is still up and the body is leaned too far forward. Besides, we all know how Dick is. He likes to pick a certain thing at each competition to criticize. This time it happened to be low backs on landings (not to mention that "bloody" forward outside edge, LOL!) But he's not nitpicky all the time. I loved his "Oh brother!" at the end of Lesha's SP. Now that was funny!

   The only low jump Alexei made recently is the quad...and it might be recent...maybe that's why it thuds...

   Geez, between Laurie and Ina there's not much left for me to be "The Keeper Of"..
   Guess I'll be "The Keeper of the Highlights and the Hands (did anyone mention those-love his hands?) Waaaaaa.I wanted the bodysuit.
   And according to Dick, Alexei needs some help with his lower back so I'll be a keeper of that too (I was going to say something about proximity but my stringent observance of decorum forbids it, LOL).
   Uh, back to the topic. I agree with someone who said that Alexei doesn't normally land "low in the back". I think it just happens when the technique of the jump is off a bit and he has to compensate for it. His "textbook" quad and axel don't look that way to me.    People (Dick mostly) commented for years about Elvis' low landings but I've noticed now there isn't as much discussion about them. They're not as "pretty" but that's just the way he's always landed them (and yeah, Ilia definitely had the "prettiest" eligible jumps)
   And isn't it funny that Elvis and Alexei are the same height and weight but their bodies look SO different? Elvis just can't do justice to a bodysuit the way Alexei does, LOL

   My friend Adriana who unfortunately doesn't have a PC wants the move in Nutrocker where he skates backwards at the right far side of the rink using the toepicks a lot and there's ice flying everywhere. But I have to get Shelle's permission for that because it's a move used in all Nutrocker programs. It's towards the end of the program just after he pretends to hit the keyboard twice (wild hitting of keyboard is mine and Shelle's, just in case you forgot!).
   BTW, I get the black SM shirt too (I don't think it goes with the program because we have been talking separately about programs and costumes all along). And if nobody else has the pants I get them too.

   Klara, my dear, I hate to point this out But one does not "ask" for Keeperships, one simply thinks them up and announces them. They seem to be portioned out according to the personality of the "keeper". So my girl, go to it! We are curious as to what you will come up with, and many will then gnash their teeth in envious self-blame for not thinking them up themselves!!!
    Not me of course! I am very smug about my keeperships...And I may even share if approached properly!

   Klara, I don't believe "Troika" has been taken yet, and that's a lovely program Also, I think "Ziganochka" is very nice. And what about the original "Nutcracker?" That was a cute program! And there's "Gaite Parisienne." But I'm afraid Alexei himself has been parceled out, LOL...Hmmnm....costumes - I think the costumes for the above-mentioned programs are also available.

   Before this thread disappears for good, I'd like to claim keepership of his QUAD flips as well as his back. I'd really love to rub some oil on his back after he's done one of his Russian baths I don't think anyone has claimed it but I may be wrong, if so, I'm sorry!
    And I'm not worrying about breaching decorum in this thread there's nothing left anyway.

   Sorry, LyThanh! I think Alexei has pretty much been parceled out! His gorgeous blue eyes, and the beautiful "Tosca" costume, along with his Worlds short program costume, were probably some of the first keeperships to be claimed! I really don't think there is anything of him left!

   Yes, Alexei and Evgeny have very nice posture. But some of the Russian ladies could stand to work on their posture a bit more (Michelle I think is still the Posture Queen at this point and NOBODY comes close!) Sometimes it's a little bit painful to watch them stroke around (I'll be nice and won't name any names here.. Don't want Alexei running after me and accusing me of insulting the world's "best," LOL)

   Ly, I don't know what's left of Alexei anymore..his lungs maybe? Very important during comps, I'd say! What about the eyebrows? Or are they part of the whole eyes ensemble? Ooh, I know -I don't think anyone's claimed his ankles yet! Very important too! Grab 'em, girl! And you could claim keepership of all his medals..think about it - apart from their obvious glory, he not only wears them around his neck and holds them to his chest (ooooh!), but he KISSES them too!
